William C. Mann - of Counsel
Bill is a civil litigator, trial and appellate advocate who focuses his practice on Personal Injury and Professional License Defense.
He was born and raised in the small north central Ohio town of Norwalk. He received his B.A. in 1976 from Case Western Reserve University and his J.D. in 1979 from the University of Dayton School of Law. At U.D. he was a member of the Constitutional Law Moot Court Team, and was named Best Oral Advocate in every round of the Law School's Moot Court Tournament. During law school, Bill worked as a Law Clerk at the Huron County Court of Common Pleas.
After graduating from U.D. Law, Bill worked as a Law Clerk for the Sixth District Court of Appeals of Ohio and then for the Supreme Court of Ohio.
Bill is Board Certified as a Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial
Advocacy, is a member of the Ohio State Bar Association's Legal Ethics and Professional Conduct Committee (1987-present), and the Million Dollar Advocates Forum. He has been a member of the Supreme Court of Ohio's Commission on Professionalism (1997-2002), the University of Dayton School of Law's Alumni Board of Trustees, and was President of the Franklin County Trial Lawyers Association (2001-2002). Bill received the FCTLA President's Award in 1996 and again in 1997, and the FCTLA's Sluggers Award in 2002. While he was FCTLA's President the Ohio Academy of Trial Lawyers named that organization “Best Local Trial Bar in Ohio.”
Bill has been listed in Strathmore's Who's Who, Cambridge Who's Who, Marquis Who's Who In America, and has been recognized by other groups and publications including Martindale-Hubbell, which has given Bill an AV rating. According to Martindale-Hubbell, an AV rating is "a testament to the fact that a lawyer's peers rank him or her at the highest level of professional excellence." Bill has also been selected as an Ohio Super Lawyer.
